What IS 26&2 Hot Yoga?
26&2 is a beginners series hot class that is great for all levels. We heat the room to about 105° with 40% humidity. During class, participants are taught a series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises that are simple, safe and accessible for all body types. Each class will be led through the same series of poses in the same order so it is a great benchmark for growth, strength, balance and transformation in the body. There is good reason this yoga is often referred to as “the true fountain of youth!”

What are the benefits of Hot Yoga? Why 26&2?

The lineage for this practice goes back to the 1920’s, it was deigned to be therapeutic to the body and mind. Heavy emphasis is on spinal strength & mobility and the discipline of concentration. In the hot room, muscles are encouraged to reach their fullest range of motion and the pores open up for detoxification. Many students of all ages will testify to a noticeable decrease in chronic pain after finding this practice!

With consistency classes become easier as the body opens up and builds strength, make the commitment and watch your body transform!

What if I can't tolerate the heat?
As a beginner, the high heat paired with exercise can be a bit of a shock at first. If you need to take a moment to recollect yourself, remember that there is no need to complete all 26 postures. We do advise that people try not to leave the hot room during class. Little by little, you will get used to the high heat but when you need to, take a breather and rejoin the rest of class at your own pace.
